White Dustpan Block Set

Functional Art

The Dustpan Block Set is a self-contained object meant to keep smaller workspaces clean. Its walnut handles and base are sealed with a low V.O.C. polyurethane. The finish makes for sturdy, long-lasting tools and can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Hand brooms are stuffed with a natural Tampico fiber.

Use this set to tidy up a tabletop, hearth or other workspace. Makes a great gift, especially for a housewarming or wedding.

Be sure not to throw this one into the cleaning closet- this set is meant to be displayed and enjoyed.

About the Artist:

Hannah Beatrice Quinn is an artist, designer and maker based in San Francisco. Working primarily in wood and metal her work incorporates the idea of “Play”. Using color and form her work transforms everyday objects into functional art that is playful and interactive.

Her practice is ingrained in the process of creating objects that help people reconnect to the histories, processes and materials by which the objects are made and used. Her work is defined by her respect of the materials and attention to craft. She designs and makes handmade tools that can be staples in anyone's home and be used everyday as well as one-of-kind tools that explore the boundaries of functionality and sculpture.

Hannah graduated from California College of the Arts in 2014. Her work has been exhibited throughout the Bay Area including the San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. She has completed residencies at the Recology Student Artist in Residence program, The Workshop Residence and at Shaper Tools.
