Region of Origin + Material Details
The market town for the Aït Bou Ichaouen tribe, Talsint rugs typically feature wool wefts, cotton warps, and lots of color.
Moroccan wool is locally sourced and a staple of Moroccan rug design. It produces a thick, strong pile that feels soft underfoot. In addition to being available, wool is durable and long-lasting. In this piece, the wool pile is knotted onto a wool foundation, adding body and helping it hug the floor. Having stood the test of time, this hand-processed wool has reacted to its various environments, acquiring an untamed, nubby look and feel.
